Maple Leaf Soccer To Wrap Up Regular Season On Tuesday, Host Regionals

The Maple Leafs will close out the regular season on Tuesday October 14 at the GHS Pitch as they host Quincy. Gametimes are 4:30 for JV followed by Varsity at 6:00. GHS are among the schools hosting the 2A Regional Semifinals for the 2024 season. The #4 seeded Leafs will take on #5 Dixon at 7:00pm on Wednesday October 23.

Leafs Rebound With 6-2 Win At Riverdale

August 29 - Maple Leafs 6 Port Byron (Riverdale) 2
A day after their season opening loss to Washington, the Maple Leafs soccer team travelled to Port Byron and defeated the host Rams 6-2. Scoring for GHS were Alex Snyder, Dominic Ritter, Jaxon Ernst, Carson Peters, Cedric Kehoe, & Josiah Trujano. The win brings the Leafs overall record to 1-1. In JV action, Geneseo shut out the Rams 2-0. Western Big 6 play begins on Tuesday as the Leafs will travel to Rock Island.
