Community Partners — The Geneseo Current

Our Community Partners

The Geneseo Current is locally owned and built for one community. Our Community Partners are the businesses that stand behind that work at the highest level — helping keep local news, sports, and hometown coverage strong in Geneseo and across Henry County. We are proud to recognize them, and grateful for what their support makes possible.

1.7M Facebook views every month
30,000+ readers at geneseocurrent.com each month
3,700 print magazines in local mailboxes, quarterly
Daily local updates — news, sports, schools, and community life

That reach is what Community Partners stand behind — and what their support keeps free and local for everyone in the community.

The partners

Two hometown institutions that invest in Geneseo twice over — once in the work they do every day, and again by standing behind the local news that covers it.

Hammond-Henry Hospital

Hammond-Henry is Geneseo's independent critical access hospital — the place Henry County turns to for emergency care, surgery, and everyday medicine, without leaving home. Its promise is written right on the building: “Medical Excellence Close to Home.”

A nationally recognized critical access hospital, Hammond-Henry cares for the same neighbors the Current writes for. As a Community Partner, it invests in keeping this community informed as well as cared for.

Durian Builders

From its kitchen and bath showroom on Wolf Road, Durian Builders remodels the rooms where Geneseo families actually live — kitchens, baths, staircases, decks, and whole-home projects — guided by a simple motto: “We Build Solutions.”

Durian stands behind its work the same way it stands behind this community: by showing up for it. As a Community Partner, the company puts its name behind local news with the same pride it puts into every project it builds.

What their support makes possible

Partner support goes directly into the work Geneseo reads every day.

No. 1

News that shows up

Daily coverage of city hall, the county board, schools, and public safety — the meetings and decisions that shape life here, reported by people who live here and explained in plain language, like the weekly Civics 101 series.

No. 2

Kids in the spotlight

Maple Leafs sports, the Sound of Geneseo, FFA, and the everyday achievements of local students. The Current was founded so a generation of Geneseo kids would get the recognition of seeing themselves in their hometown news — partners help keep that promise.

No. 3

A stronger hometown economy

Business directories, seasonal guides like the Fall Home section, and a quarterly magazine in 3,700 mailboxes — all connecting local businesses with local customers, and keeping shopping dollars close to home.

Become a Community Partner

Community Partnership is the Current's highest level of business support — a public commitment to the idea that Geneseo deserves strong, independent local news. If your business believes that too, we'd love to talk about what partnership looks like.
