LANCE NEAL and his wife Jill have two daughters, Audrey and Jenavieve and a son, Jeron.  Neal is a teacher.  He received an Associate Degree in General Studies from Palomar College in San Marcos, CA; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Human Performance/Exercise Science from the University of Montana, Missoula, MT; and a Master’s in Secondary Education from the University West Florida, Pensacola, FL.

WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR SCHOOL BOARD?  - “I am running for school board because our children’s future should be one of great promise. Unfortunately, it is clear that the Illinois State Board of Education standards do not promote this.

In fact, these standards are more concerned with dividing our students by cramming them with sexually offensive and inappropriate material rather than actually promoting standards that help students become critical thinkers and problem solver.  I want to see students educated, not indoctrinated.  We need leaders who are not afraid to take a stand against the onslaught of evil that has been perpetrated on our children.”

WHAT ARE THE CHIEF ISSUES FACING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND WHAT WILL YOU DO TO HELP SOLVE THEM? - “One chief issue facing our school district is gaining the trust of parents, especially after the whole mask episode.  Parents have every right to ensure their children’s education and safety are of highest priority and quality.  The parents, not the school district, should always have the final say on what is best for their children.”

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS – “There are many issues plaguing our students.  We need leaders who are empathetic and caring, but have a backbone to do what is right.  Leaders who have a moral compass are necessary in these times.  I will be that person.”

Tomorrow, we’ll see comments from Diane Olson.
