Mother’s Day Messages 2023 from GHS Seniors - Part 3 – By Claudia Loucks

Continuing Mothers Day messages from Geneseo High School Seniors

RICKY RAMSEY – “Dear Mom, Thank you for helping me with everything. You have been there for me, Taylor, and Jacob for our whole lives and you are the reason I am who I am today. I know that even when I move out, you will still text me to not drive even though it’s only sprinkling. I am happy that you care about college and the way I look more than I do. You have been the best person I know and I am so thankful for that. Love, Ricky.”

MADISON SCOTT – “My mom does a lot for me, and not only does she go above and beyond for my family and me, she does the same at her job. My mom has my utmost respect. I can’t imagine going to my job and caring for people all day then to come home and care for people some more. She’s constantly putting others before herself even when she shouldn’t. She makes sure everyone is included everyday. She goes out of her way to run from my games to my other siblings games even if it takes a two-hour drive. I love my mom more than I love anyone, and I couldn’t ask for a more loving and caring mom. Madi.”

JOSIE SHEEHAN – “Dear Momma, I just want to say thank you. You are an amazing mother and person. You push me to be better, smarter, and more passionate about everything I do. Sometimes you stress me out, but sometimes I make you mad, so we balance each other out. I am truly so grateful for how much trust and confidence you put in me, how much you do for me, how much you stress me out, and how much you love me. I know that anything I do, you will support and I am eternally grateful for that. Much love, Josie.”

ADDISON SMITH – “Dear Mom, This letter is a little bittersweet, not only because this is my last Mother’s Day as a kid, but also because this is my last Mother’s Day home with you. Throughout my life I’ve always told myself that, although I may not agree at the time, my mom has always had my best interest at heart. She has continuously pushed me to be the best version of myself that I can be. I find myself learning more and more from her every day, and I know that when I get out into the real world, all her lessons will mean something. She is so strong and never gives up because she has three kids to take care of. Someday I want to be half the mom she is. I love her so much, and I’m going to miss spending Friday nights out to dinner with her and watching movies. I love you Mom. Happy Mother’s Day! Addison.”

AUBREY VANKERREBROECK – “When I grow up, I want to be just like my mother. My mom is my role model; her patience and kindness inspires me. She’s always been my biggest supporter, continuously lifting me up with her words and ensuring I have confidence in my own abilities. Over the many years I have played volleyball, there was always one constant: her advice, ‘play hard and have fun’ were always her words of wisdom as I walked out the door to a game or a practice. This advice can be applied to much more than just my athletic pursuits, though; the statement is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Besides encouraging me to be the best version of myself, my mother also treats everyone around her with kindness and respect, a trait I hope I can one day master as she has. My mom has provided me with an example of patience and compassion that’s nearly impossible to follow, and for that I will be forever grateful. Aubrey.”

DELAINEY VANRYCKE - “Personally, I believe Mother’s Day should be celebrated every day because all mothers deserve it. Especially mine! My mom is the most selfless, caring, hard working, sincere, and generous person I know. She is constantly providing the most for my family and me. My mom is my best friend and I truly don’t know what I would do without her. She is always my role model and biggest inspiration in life. I can count on her for anything. My mom has taught me how to be a better person. I believe my mom deserves everything good in life. I am beyond lucky and appreciative for all she does for me. I am so proud to be her daughter. Now that I am getting older, I don’t just feel gratitude for my mom... I admire her. Delainey.”

ANN WIRTH –“My mom is Sara Wirth. She has been one of the most supportive and encouraging persons I’ve had in my life. To everything from traveling all the way to events to even helping me make my lunch for school. She does the little things like even leaving me a note to have a good day and I am grateful to have that. I admire her kindness. She’s one of the nicest persons you will encounter and she is friendly to everyone. I am very proud to say she is my mom. Annie.”

THOMAS WHEELER – “Dear Mom, you were never really there in my life, but it’s cool I still love you. You did make my young years fun. I enjoyed the trips and ice cream we always got on the weekend. My life is going good. I heard I have a sister. I love you, Happy Mother’s Day. You were my mother, I’ll always appreciate that you wanted my grandma to raise me.”

RYLEE WEINZIERL – “To you, for being there through my hardest times. For being there when I couldn’t make the tough decisions. For pushing me through life when I couldn’t push myself. For taking care of everyone in our family even when you are exhausted. For making me the person I am today and being my number one supporter. Thank you Mom! Rylee.”
