Geneseo Girl Scout Service Unit 886 held their 16th Girl Scout Day Camp at Cole Cabin, Geneseo, IL on June 22-26, 2026. This year was Disney themed with fun crafting, imagineering, and daily princess visits!
Girls were able to go hiking, fishing, outdoor cooking, Girl Scout traditions including archery and even kayaking! The camp served 86 Girl Scout youth and over 30 adult volunteers daily. We wish to extend a thank you to all of our volunteers who dedicated their time (and pixie dust) so that these Girl Scouts could experience the magic of the outdoors and make new friends.
We also thank those who supported our volunteer Day Camp including the Geneseo Izaak Walton League, B&B Bicycle, Pinks Bus Service, Tim Eastman, Culligan Water of Davenport, Republic Services, It's a Pleasure Horsebackriding, Geneseo Community Center, and Smith Art Studio. We also offer a very special thank you to the Geneseo Community Chest and the Geneseo Kiwanis Club for their monetary donation, and their enormous support to provide this camp to local Girl Scouts.
