Runners, walkers, and jinglers — registration is now open for this year's Geneseo Jingle Run 5K, the race that kicks off Christmas Walk day with a morning run and hot cocoa.

The race is set for Saturday, December 12, at 8:30 a.m., and there's a big change this year: a brand-new location and route. The run will start and end at Richmond Hill, winding through the streets around the park — which organizers say means much less traffic and more spots for spectators to cheer you on.

Race-day registration opens at 7:30 a.m. at Shelter #4, where restrooms, awards, and post-race refreshments will also be set up.

Entry is $30, and there's no refund policy — so commit to the jingle. If you want a race T-shirt, register by November 12. Online registration closes December 11 at 11:59 p.m.

The Jingle Run is organized by the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce as the opening event of Christmas Walk day downtown.
