April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the display in Geneseo’s North City Park, at the corner of State and North Sts., is “The Freedom House Silent Witnesses Project.” The red silhouettes are in memory of the women and children, from the five Illinois counties served by Freedom House, whose lives were lost to sexual violence.
The back of each silhouette has information about the victim.
