Don Cherry VFW Post 5083 Auxiliary Launches Hometown Hero Program

The Don Cherry VFW Post 5083 Auxiliary would like to take the opportunity to invite you to help us honor your friends and family who have served our great country.  The Hometown Hero Program salutes our brave men and women who are currently serving and who have previously served in the armed forces by creating and displaying pictures of the brave men and women on banners to be exhibited on flag poles located in downtown Geneseo.

The Hometown Hero Program is a two-year rotational display administered by the City of Geneseo.  The city will be responsible for raising the banners each Memorial Day and Veterans Day.  After two years, new flags will be sold and raised.  There will be 39 flags for the display.
