Father’s Day Fly-In Breakfast June 21 at Gen-Air Park

   Jim Fowler, Coal Valley, stands by his 2018 Belite “Chipper” to be included in the display at the annual Father’s Day Fly-In/Drive-In Breakfast on Sunday, June 21, at Gen-Air Park.  

Jim Fowler, Coal Valley, is shown by his 2018 Belite ”Chipper” Aircraft, which will be the featured airplane at the annual Father’s Day Fly-In/Drive-In Breakfast on Sunday, June 21, at Gen-Air Park.  Serving will be from 7 to 11 a.m. and Gen-Air Park is located two miles east of Geneseo.  (Airport ID = 3G8).

   Fowler is a pilot who is new to the Geneseo Airport.  His home-built aircraft is made of honeycomb aluminum and is designed with an aluminum cover with cloth wingtips and tail.  It is Aero Momentum 100 horse, water-cooled and fuel injection engine.

   He began building the experimental aircraft in 2018 and completed the project in 2024.

   In addition to Fowler’s Belite “Chipper” on display, the Father’s Day event will feature demonstrations, other aircraft on display and flying-in to the airport.  If weather permits, there will be collector cars on display by the Maple City Cruisers

  Also, if weather permits, the Quad-City Skydiving Center will present demonstrations during the event; and the EAA Chapter 410 will be offering Young Eagle flights for youth ages 8-17, free of charge.  Online registration for the rides begins June 7 on the EAA website.  More information is available at online at eaa.org.
