The Community Choir of Geneseo will celebrate their 15th anniversary this summer with a theme of “Perspective.”

   The Community Choir is open to those entering eighth grade and older adults.  Rehearsals are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning May 31 and continuing through June 21 in the Geneseo High School Concert Hall. 

   This year’s performance is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, in the GHS Concert Hall. 

   Repertoire includes:  “Blue Moon,” “Crowded Table,” “Amazing Grace,” and “
Choose Something Like a Star,” featuring artist Sharon Michaelsen.

   Anyone interested in singing with the group is asked to contact Pam Edwards, director, at 309-944-6641 or email singplay53@gmail.com by May 12.

   Youth entering grades 4-7 are invited to sing in the Children’s Choir which rehearses on June 22, 23, 26, 27 and 28 and will perform with the Community Choir on June 28.

   Registration forms are available from Geneseo elementary and middle school choir instructors or by contacting Pam Edwards.  The deadline to register is May 12.  Repertoire includes:  “Brave,” “Inscription of Hope,” and “Under the Sea.”

   Combined choirs will sing “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Bandstand Boogie.”
