The Geneseo siblings who first competed Jan. 5 on the Food Network “Baking Championship: Next Gen” television show survived the second contest which aired Monday, Jan. 12.

Abigail Wolf (15) and her brother, Kenneth (10) Wolf, children of Dan and Erica Wolf, will be competing again on the third episode, at 7 p.m. next Monday, Jan. 19.

The new kids’ baking show showcases the baking skills and creativity of siblings.  A total of 12 teams competed on the first show, Jan. 5, when two teams were eliminated.  On Jan. 12, one more team was eliminated from the challenge.

On the second (Jan. 12th) episode of Baking Championship:  Next Gen, the 10 remaining teams had to create desserts inspired by their families.

“Abigail and Kenneth chose to make the cake most requested by our family:  a lemon cake with raspberry filling and a lemon buttercream,” (Mom) Erica Wolf said.  “Kenneth made fondant corn plants, and Abigail painted a John Deere tractor to decorate the top.  The judges loved the decorations and enjoyed the cake, and Abigail and Kenneth are moving on to the third episode.”

When each of the children were asked to share a comment about being on the show, Kenneth said, “It was a great opportunity to share about the Midwest and who we are as a family.”

Abigail, said, “I loved sharing my signature, lemon raspberry cake with the judges.”
