GHS 2025 Homecoming Festivities

  Homecoming festivities, with a theme of “Enchanted Forest” will get underway on Monday, Oct. 6, at Geneseo High School.

   The homecoming court will be announced at a pep rally at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Bob Reade Football Field, and will include a king and queen, duke and duchess and lord and lady from the senior class, and two candidates from each of the freshman, sophomore and junior classes.  

   There is a change this year in the night of the pep rally, which will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, and not on Thursday, as it has been held in previous years.

   The coronation of the homecoming court will take place at the homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 11, in the school gym.

   Events planned by the GHS Student Council include Spirit Week Dress Days, Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 10; Float Face-Off at Richmond Hill from 4 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, and the Pep Rally on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

   The homecoming parade will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, starting at Geneseo City Park and traveling north through downtown to the high school.  There is no detour this year.

   The varsity football game (Geneseo vs. Sterling) will be at 7 p.m. after the frosh-soph game at 5 p.m. 

SPIRIT WEEK DRESS DAYS – OCT. 6-10.

-Monday, Oct. 6 – Pajama Day.
-Tuesday, Oct. 7 – Jersey Day.
-Wednesday, Oct. 8 – On Wednesdays We Wear Pink.
-Thursday, Oct. 9 – Country vs. Country Club Day.
-Friday, Oct. 10 – Spirit Day - Green/White, Team - Club Day.
