Jesse Crouch, left; JoAnne Hillman, and Guy Gibson will be helping serve at the Henry County Democrats ice cream social from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 in Geneseo City Park. Music will be provided by John Puentes and Mike Prenevost (In-A- Gadda- Da-Vita). In addition to music, the event will include pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, ice cream and desserts. Hillman said, “Everyone is welcome, whether they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or undecided. We want Henry County to show Springfield that we can all come together for some music, food and fun and get along.” There will be a “Meet the Candidates” introduction of those people seeking election to the Henry County Board. They are Jim Dooley, Guy Gibson, Terry McDowell, Steve Mizen and Bill Preston.
