Michelle Gibbons will portray Betty White at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Geneseo Public Library.
Fans of Betty White may remember her as the ditsy Rose Nylund on the Golden Girls TV series with Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty and Rue McClanahan. Or maybe she comes to mind as Sue Ann Nivens, the “man-hungry” neighbor on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Whatever series fans recall her from, Betty White was considered a pioneer of early television with a career that spanned nearly 70 years.
At the upcoming program at the library, Gibbons will share the journey that led Betty White to fame.
