Sunday’s rain showers were responsible for the cancellation of the Geneseo Music Festival Father’s Day Parade, but that rain led to the Music Festival Queen and court making plans for a different gathering

The 2026 Music Festival court, Janey Neumann, queen; Eliana Barickman, first runner-up; Keira Disterhoft, second runner-up; Madeline Wells, third runner-up; and Maggie Elder, fourth runner-up decided to meet for dinner Friday at The Cellar so they could spend more time together and celebrate.

A spokesperson for the group said, “Although the parade was cancelled, the gathering Friday will allow the 2026 Music Festival royalty to celebrate together and mark the beginning of their year of service as ambassadors for one of Geneseo’s long-time traditions.”

The Father’s Day Parade is when the Music Festival queen and court are showcased to the community.

The pageant, sponsored each year by the Geneseo Rotary Club, was held Friday, June 19, in City Park.
