Two sessions on “Bunny Statue Painting” are being offered at the Geneseo Public Library. Geneseo artist Sheilah Wigant-McGee has created bunnies to paint and classes will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, and from 1 to 3 p.m.; on Tuesday, July 28, at the library.
Fifteen statues are available at each of the two sessions, so it is necessary to register in advance for the classes at the library front desk or by calling the library at 309-944-6452.
Sheilah Wigant-McGee is a local sculptor who is credited for creating the “boy and girl reading” statues, located at the entrance to the library and also featured in the library Reading Garden. She will be available at the upcoming classes to provide assistance with painting the bunny statues.
