Artificial intelligence is everywhere, and to learn more about how to use it, the Geneseo Public Library is offering a program, “Practical Applications of Generative AI” at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25.

The program will be presented by Pubali Kundu, Assistant Director of the River Valley District Library and Illinois Library AI Ambassador.

The event is free and open to the public.

Kundu will demonstrate how generative AI tools can be used in everyday professional and creative work.  She will present real-time examples of chatbot and image generator outputs, along with a comparison of strengths, limitations, and best-use cases across different AI tools and models.

Important ethical questions surrounding artificial intelligence, including bias, authorship, privacy, environmental impact, and responsible implementation will be explored at the program.

The program is designed to provide practical insight for those people who are curious, cautious, creative, or who just want to better understand what everyone is taking about.
