Opioid overdoses can happen anywhere – at home, at work, or in public spaces, and knowing what to do can save a life.  The Geneseo Public Library, and the Robert Young Center, have teamed up to offer a free program at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 30, to help people understand more about the drug overdose epidemic.

Naloxone Grant Coordinator, Kareem Washington, from the Robert Young Center, will explain how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, how and when to use Narcan (naloxone), and what to do while waiting for EMS (emergency help).

The upcoming session will cover the facts about the drug overdose epidemic, learning the basics of opioids, safety procedures, and more.  A question-and-answer period will be held at the end of the program
