Motorists traveling on State Street will soon see improved access as the city's roadway improvement project reaches another milestone.

According to an update from City Administrator Brandon Maeglin, the State Street and Ogden Avenue intersection—located at the Geneseo High School one-way entrance—is expected to fully reopen to traffic by Aug. 12.

Reopening the intersection will improve traffic flow along State Street as students, parents and staff prepare for the start of the school year.

Construction crews will continue working on the remaining portions of the project after the intersection reopens. Maeglin said the rest of the State Street roadway improvements are expected to be complete by Aug. 21, barring any unforeseen delays.
