Cyclists from around the region will roll into Geneseo later this month as the Quad Cities Bicycle Club brings its annual Tour of the Heartland back to the community.

The 2026 ride is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, beginning and ending at Geneseo Brewing Company, 102 S. State St. in downtown Geneseo. The course opens at 7 a.m. and support will be available through 5 p.m.

Rather than following one long route, the Tour of the Heartland is built around a series of approximately 25-mile loops on paved, lightly traveled rural roads around Geneseo. Riders can complete one, two, three or all four loops, giving participants options of approximately 25, 50, 75 or 100 miles.

Those completing all four will finish a full century — 100 miles in a single day.

The format also brings riders back to downtown Geneseo between loops, with Geneseo Brewing Company serving as the central hub for the event.

Registration includes ride support, a stocked aid station, lunch, live music and hourly raffle drawings. Organizers are planning an Oktoberfest-inspired atmosphere at the brewery, where cyclists can stop between loops to refuel before heading back onto the course.

Registration is currently $55 for Quad Cities Bicycle Club members and $65 for non-members.

The event is open to cyclists beyond the club, with riders able to select the distance that fits their ability and goals.
