It’s an exciting time at the Geneseo Current. It’s been one calendar year since we launched our full time coverage and what an experience it has been. It’s been a thrill for us to photograph athletic events and city festivals. We’ve enjoyed meeting people and hearing their stories. And we’ve brought the action, the sounds, and imagery to your hands, your laps, and your desktop through our videos.

A year ago we launched our website, but we’re not done with it. We’re already preparing next version that will look different and include more information.

A sponsor asked me if the Current was just high school athletics. My answer was definitely “No”. As the Geneseo Current continues to grow we’ll have meaningful articles on a regular basis. As we enter phase two, we’re planning a webseries(maybe two, maybe three) and a podcast. We also plan to cover more middle school activities.

As the Geneseo Current continues to evolve, one thing will always stay the same. The Current will always be free to our readers and viewers. We want to thank the Geneseo Community for your support, it’s been an incredible first year. We’re excited to see what 2022 brings.
