Matt Jagitsch of Sterling won first place in the Maple City Fine Arts Show with his entry of “Hard Times in the Land of Plenty.” There were more than 120 entries in this year’s show and the art work was judged by Corinne Smith, Adjunct Professor Studio Art Department, Augustana College. Entries will remain on display at the Geneseo Art League Gallery, 125 North State St., Geneseo, and at The Cellar in downtown Geneseo, until Oct. 28. Contributed Photos
Larry Westmorland, East Moline, was the second place winner in this year’s Maple City Fine Arts Show with his entry of “Follow the Path.”
Susan Youngstrom, Cambridge, won third place in the 2023 Maple City Show with her entry of “Crazy Lady.” The show is a special event each year of the Geneseo Art League.
