Daniel French has been named Volunteer of the Month at the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry.  He has been a volunteer at the food pantry for eight months, where he helps guests select groceries in the food room and helps in the toy room during the Christmas season.

The Geneseo High School Maplettes earned honors at the Universal Dance Camp in Peoria, which they attended earlier this month.

Heidi Hamer is the tour guide/storyteller for the upcoming ‘Stories in Stone” tours at Oakwood Cemetery.

A program about the “Mothers” of America will be presented by Laura Keyes at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Geneseo Public Library.

“Take Me Out to the Ballgame” - Not sure about the “peanuts and cracker jacks,” but there’s bound to be a crowd at the throwback baseball game planned by the Geneseo Historical Museum.

Pam Edwards recently completed her 50th year of teaching, and has retired from part-time instruction of vocal music and accompanying choirs at Geneseo High School, but will continue to share her musical talent with the community.

The Richmond Hill Players continue their 2026 season with the comedy-fantasy “Heaven Help Me,” by Joe Simonelli.

The grand opening of the Geneseo Public Library Reading Garden will be held as planned, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1. 

The Rotary Music Festival Court will meet for dinner Friday at The Cellar so they could spend more time together and celebrate.
