Combs Takes First At WB6 Championship, Leafs Finish 6th Overall

WB6 Pole Vault Champion Brayden Combs

GHS Maple Leafs Track & Field team finished sixth overall at the Western Big 6 Conference Championship on Friday evening in Galesburg. Brayden Combs took first in pole vault with a jump of 4.04m. Jake Rapps (110m hurdles - 15.73), Cedric Kehoe (300m hurdles - 40.05), Kaden Salisbury (discus - 50.61m), & Jackson Reade (high jump - 1.85m) took second place in their respective events. Max Johnson took third in the 800m run with a time of 1:59.35. Next Up: At the 2A Sectional back in Galesburg on Thursday May 16. Field events scheduled to being at 4:00pm with running events at 6:00pm.
