CAMBRIDGE — Geneseo senior Claire Degrave is headed to the IHSA Class 1A Girls Golf State Tournament after earning a qualifying spot Monday at the sectional tournament at Valley View Club.
Degrave’s trip to state came down to a three-player playoff for the final two individual qualifying spots. She secured her place on the first playoff hole to advance.
The state appearance continues an impressive postseason for Degrave, who advanced to sectional competition after finishing second at last week’s regional.
Degrave will compete at the Class 1A State Tournament this weekend at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur.
