Green Machine: Week 2 Rundown

Keep the gas pedal down!

Week two typically brings the most growth in a football season. There are holes to fill and coaches are still looking for names to fill those holes left open from knee injuries during the 2021 Spring season. Senior Kaden Davison is out the entire season as is Junior Conner Helke. Senior Anthony Pierce hopes to play at some point this fall.

The Green Machine rolled in week one. Scoring 42 points in the first fourteen minutes against Noble Comer.
Defensively they had five turnovers one of them, a pic six. The offense provided six touchdowns on their way to a 49-0 victory at Bob Reade Field.

Sandwich should bring a more organized and prepared attack. Speaking to Geneseo coach Larry Johnsen “Last year they were a Wing-T team. On defense they’re similar to us and run a 4-3 defense.” Johnsen continued, “I can’t imagine they’ve changed a lot, but we’ll see.”

Freshman game starts at 5:00 followed by the varsity game 7:00.
