Maple Leafs Finish Fifth at Western Big 6 Conference Meet

COAL VALLEY - Geneseo boys golf finished fifth at the Western Big 6 Conference Meet, posting a team score of 341.

Jaxon Ernst led the Maple Leafs with an 81, finishing ninth overall and earning Second Team All-Conference honors.

Freshman Trace Hager followed with an 86, while Kellen Vankerrebroeck and Gavin Davis each shot 87. Kain Stroud finished with a 94 and Sage Windisch added a 95.

Moline captured the conference championship with a team score of 300, followed by Galesburg at 318, Alleman at 331 and Quincy at 334. Geneseo's 341 rounded out the top five.

Geneseo individual results: Ernst 81 (9th), Hager 86 (17th), Vankerrebroeck 87 (T-19th), Davis 87 (T-19th), Stroud 94 (33rd) and Windisch 95.

Next Up: Leafs travel to Golfmohr Country Club in East Moline for a dual with United Township on Wednesday.
