STERLING — Geneseo volleyball ran into an unbeaten Sterling squad Tuesday night, falling to the Golden Warriors in straight sets.

Sterling won the two sets by scores of 25-11 and 25-12, improving to 10-0 overall and 2-0 in Western Big 6 Conference play.

The loss dropped Geneseo to 6-4 and snapped a nine-match road winning streak for the Maple Leafs dating back to last season.

The match was Geneseo's second conference contest of the season after the Leafs opened Western Big 6 play with a three-set victory over Rock Island on Sept. 3.

Individual statistics from the Sterling match were not available.
