“Mardi Gras,” is the theme of the 2026 Homecoming and festivities are underway at GHS.

The Float-Faceoff float-building will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Richmond Hill.

The homecoming court will be announced at a pep rally at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Bob Reade Football Field, and will include a king and queen, duke and duchess and lord and lady from the senior class, and two attendants from each of the freshman, sophomore and junior classes.

The coronation of the homecoming court will take place at the homecoming dance on Saturday, Sept. 12, in the school gym.

The homecoming parade will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, starting at Geneseo City Park and traveling north through downtown on State Street and to the high school. The varsity football game (Geneseo vs. Moline) will be at 7 p.m. after the frosh-soph game at 5 p.m.

Seniors dress as Senior Citizens

Juniors dress as Middle School students

Sophomores dress as Toddlers

Freshmen dress as Babies

-Friday - Sept. 11 – Spirit Day - Green/White, Team - Club Day
