The Geneseo Middle School On the Same Page (OSP) community-wide reading team is hosting a community “Tackle ALS” event on Saturday, April 11. The event is to celebrate the book “Final Season” by Tim Green, a story about a sixth-grade quarterback whose dad is diagnosed with ALS. While the event is to raise awareness for the book and ALS, there is no fee to participate.
The OSP team invites anyone who would like to get out and walk the Geneseo Middle School path, discuss the book, learn about ALS, or visit the GMS Book Fair to stop by anytime between 10:30 a.m. and noon on April 11. There also will be an area for families or local book clubs to take photos.
Free copies of the book will be available as well, so participants don’t even have to have read “Final Season” to join the fun!
