The Geneseo High School Maplettes earned honors at the Universal Dance Camp in Peoria, which they attended earlier this month.

The squad competed with their home routine and received a blue Superior ribbon and trophy, finishing in sixth place in the varsity category.
Skylar Hileman auditioned and was selected as an All-American dancer. Addi Swan received a “Pin It Forward” award from a UDA staff member for outstanding hard work.
At the conclusion of the camp, the Geneseo team received a Superior Trophy for the number of blue ribbons earned on the final day evaluations, as well as the “Most Improved” trophy that was voted on by the UDA staff.
According to Coaches Lydia Reyburn, Michelle Fryear, and Yvonne Wayne, “The Maplettes are looking forward to bringing engaging routines back home and having a great season.
