Daniel French

Daniel French has been named Volunteer of the Month at the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry.  He has been a volunteer at the food pantry for eight months, where he helps guests select groceries in the food room and helps in the toy room during the Christmas season.

He and his wife, Amanda, have two sons, Carter and Landon, and a pet Boxer dog named “Rizzo.”

The volunteer enjoys watching sports, especially the Cubs, Purdue, and the Colts; traveling, watching his kids’ activities, hiking, golfing, and playing tennis.

He said the best thing about volunteering at the food pantry is showing God’s love to those in need, hearing how appreciative people are of the food pantry, and getting to know all the kind employees and volunteers.

His most memorable experience at the food pantry is seeing both the food room and the clothing room full of donations, and he said that reminds him of “how much people in the community care about others and how much God has blessed us.”

Nicole Freadhoff, assistant director at the food pantry, “Thank you for all your help, Daniel!”
