The students with Allan Ross are winners of the contest held at area schools for students in grades 6-12.  Marshall is the third place winner; Lough took second place and Foley won first place, and all are students in Orion.  Stone is a student in Pleasant Valley Schools and illustrated the “A Book By Me” entitled “Riva’s Reality:  A Childhood Stolen By Hitler.”

The exhibit will remain at RutabagA, 108 North State St., through Saturday, April 1, and the public is invited to view during regular gallery hours which are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday.

Sharon Michaelsen, president of RutabagA, said there are 20 pieces of art work included in the display at the studio.

The contest is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities, Quad City Arts, and the Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Committee).   The art work reflects the events and impact of the Holocaust.
