The Women of Grace United Methodist Church of Geneseo invite area women to join them at the upcoming Maundy Thursday Luncheon at 12 noon on Thursday, April 6, at Grace Church, 318 North Center St., Geneseo. The event is open to the public, and reservations may be made by Monday, April 3, by calling the church office at 309-944-4208. The event will include a program “New Life for Women,” to be presented by the women at The Farm, who will share testimonies. Maundy Thursday is part of the Christian celebration of Easter and commemorates the night of the Last Supper as told in the Bible. At the Last Supper, Jesus commanded that we should love one another and He washed the feet of his disciples as an act of kindness.
