Area residents of all ages joined the Geneseo Middle School “On the Same Page” (OSP) community-wide reading team at the “Tackle ALS” event held Saturday at GMS. The event was held to celebrate the book “Final Season,” by Tim Green, a story about a sixth-grade quarterback whose dad is diagnosed with ALS.
Activities included walking the GMS path, discussing the book, learning about ALS, and visiting the GMS Book Fair. There also was a place for photos to be taken.
Through T-shirt sales and donations at the recent walk, the GMS raised $335 to donate to “Tackle ALS” research.
“Final Season” was the 16 th annual On the Same Page Community-Wide Read selected by student readers at GMS.
Jeanne Brucher, Geneseo Middle School librarian, is the coordinator of “On the Same Page.”
