PEKIN — Friday and Saturday the Geneseo boys golf team finished 26th in a 30-team field at the two-day Pekin Dragon Invite, posting a combined score of 714.

The Maple Leafs opened with a 373 Friday at Lick Creek Golf Course before improving by 32 strokes with a 341 Saturday at Pekin Country Club.

Jaxon Ernst led the way for Geneseo, shooting rounds of 92 and 85 for a two-day total of 177. Trace Hager finished with rounds of 90 and 86 for a 176, while Gavin Davis shot 95 and 80 for a 175. Kain Stroud posted rounds of 101 and 93 for a 194, Zak O’Dell shot 99 and 98 for a 197, and Sage Windisch finished with rounds of 115 and 90 for a 205.
