GENESEO — Cole Clifton scored six goals to lead the Geneseo boys soccer team to a 7-2 victory over Yorkville Christian on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Clifton accounted for six of the Maple Leafs' seven goals and Max Round scored Geneseo's other goal.
The victory was part of a strong offensive stretch for the Maple Leafs, who had also scored nine goals against East Peoria and six against Streator earlier in September.
Clifton's six-goal performance was his biggest of the season.
