The Geneseo Maple Leafs wasted little time making their presence felt in the Western Big 6 Conference.

On a hot night in Rock Island, Geneseo exploded for 47 points Friday night, rolling past Rock Island, 47-13, on the road to remain unbeaten at 3-0.

After opening the season with a pair of close victories over Davenport Assumption and Rochelle, the Maple Leafs turned in their most dominant performance of the young season. The victory also marked Geneseo’s fourth consecutive win over Rock Island.

The Maple Leafs return home next Friday to host Moline. Next weekend is also Hall of Fame and Homecoming weekend in Geneseo.
