GALESBURG - Geneseo finished tied for the top spot at an eight-team tournament Sept. 19, matching McHenry with 10 wins apiece.

The Lady Leafs were perfect in doubles play. Kendyl Wassenhove and Stella Smith went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles, including a 6-4, 6-4 victory over McHenry and a 6-1, 6-1 win against Limestone.

Vi Pettit and Jaylee Brudos also went 3-0 at No. 2 doubles. Their day included a 6-0, 6-1 victory over the McHenry pair.

Geneseo picked up all six of its doubles matches, while McHenry went unbeaten in singles. Anastasia Pitsoulakis fell to McHenry's Grace Betts 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Annabelle Betcher pushed Lizzie Mueller to a deciding tiebreak before falling 6-1, 3-6, 10-7 at No. 2.

Geneseo and McHenry each finished with 10 wins, followed by Limestone with six.
