ROCK ISLAND — The Geneseo volleyball team bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Morton with a 2-1 comeback victory over Rock Island Thursday night.

The Maple Leafs dropped the opening set before rallying to win the second and third sets and secure the conference victory.

The win came against a Rock Island team that entered the match with a 2-1 record. It also continued Geneseo’s recent success against the Rocks. The Maple Leafs defeated Rock Island in three sets in both teams’ meeting at Rock Island last season and swept the Rocks in Geneseo.

The victory puts Geneseo back on track after Morton snapped the Maple Leafs’ four-match winning streak earlier this week.
