Lady Leafs Rebound From Quincy Loss With Two Big Wins At TOC Tourney!

#16 Addison Espe, #3 Annie Maxwell, #18 Jeslen Rink, #15 Gia Ritter, & #7 Mia Kelly Await A Corner Kick.

The Lady Leafs dropped a tough 5-1 contest at WB6 leading Quincy on Tuesday April 23 but rebounded with a solid performance in the Tournament of Champions at the TBK Bank Sports Complex. On a rain soaked Friday, Mia Kelly and Hanna Kreiner each scored in the Leafs shutout win over the Redhawks of Chicago Marist. The following day, GHS rallied from a two goal halftime deficit to defeat Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI) in a 5-4 penalty shoot-out. Ava DeSplinter scored both regulation goals in the rally and Addison Espe scored the shoot-out game winner. Next Up: Rock Island at home for Senior Night (6:00pm).
