New staff members in the Geneseo School District were honored on Aug. 10 at a luncheon at Grace United Methodist Church. The 2023 luncheon was the 43rd year for the church to host new teachers and administrators to the district.

Grace Church member and retired Geneseo School District teacher Jeff Orton welcomed the new staff, current administration, school board members, and other educators who attend Grace Church. Geneseo School Superintendent Dr. Adam Brumbaugh also spoke.

The new staff members include:

-ELEMENTARY: Miranda Bolte, first grade, Millikin; Julie Boone, kindergarten, Southwest; Carson Dodge, third grade, Northside; Laurel Filzen Etzel, music, Northside; Holly Landry, art, Northside; Amber Mattly, kindergarten/first grade, Northside; Molly Mickley and Delaney O’Brien, fourth grade, Northside; Grace Orlikowski, fourth grade, Southwest; Emily Pobanz, first grade, Millikin; Betsy Timmerman, kindergarten, Millikin.

-MIDDLE SCHOOL: - Amber Whitenburg, art; and Katherine Wohrley, math.

-HIGH SCHOOL: – Erika Gutierrez, Spanish; Ryan Hill, English; Katelyn McNamara, English; Jacqueline Walters, Agriculture; and Kirk Wyffels, CTE.

-HENRY/STARK: Shelby Brasmer, teacher; Rose Hall and Ali Kazubowski, psychologists; Ashley Mancera, speech, Kelly Sikardi, social worker; Madison Wancket and Sarah Williams, both teachers.
